Valid Sport Physicals are required for participation in each sport.
Academic Eligibility is checked on a weekly basis.
The Athletic Pre Participation Packet has been posted. It is located by clicking the "Sports Physical Forms" link on the left. It is imperative that all athletes have their sports physicals in the summer months before the school year begins. Physicals are valid after June 1 for fall sports. Winter and Spring physicals may not be dated and signed by the physician more than six weeks prior to the beginning of the season. No one may try out without a sports physical on file in the nurse's office. Tryouts will not be extended for those who fail to bring in a form on time.

These are official opening dates permitted by PIAA. The tryouts may not necessarily begin on the "official" opening date. Gym space in the winter and weather and field conditions in fall and spring may delay tryouts.

With the PIAA decision to move girls' soccer at the high school level to the fall of 2010, there will be
an increased demand on the pool of available officials. Officials are assigned games beginning at
the varsity level and working down to 7th grade. This note is from the assigner of officials for District I:
Given that the ladies program is moving to the fall starting in the Fall of 2010, we are in need of additional officials.
Please take the time to review the attached flyer and share it with anyone you know who might be interested.
The file is attached here. Please share this with anyone who might be interested
in becoming a certified PIAA official.

A Note to all Parents and Students:
It is the responsibility of all students to make sure that, after practice is over, they either to take the 5 PM sports bus home or have a ride waiting for them at school. It has come to my attention that students are telling the coaches that they have rides home and some students are not being picked up until after 5:30 PM.
The school district offers the 5 PM bus service to our students. If you are going home by car, your parent must pick you up by 5 PM. If no one is here to pick you up at 5PM, you will be required to ride the 5 PM bus. These provisions apply to all students staying after school for a supervised activity that requires that they stay until 5PM.
On days of away games, the coaches will be with the students and calls can be made if no one is here when the away sports bus arrives. On practice days, however, students will make sure they have transportation home at 5 PM

Please read the letter below as it pertains to students and their valuables being stored in lockers after school.
November 8th, 2002
Dear Parents,
As we begin the winter sports season, we wanted to make you aware of a policy that involves students who play on our school sports teams. Our goal is to ensure that students’ belongings are safe from theft or vandalism while they are participating in practices and games. We are asking you to discuss the following guidelines with your children and to be sure they understand them.
When students report to the locker room to dress for practices or games, they often bring bags with personal belongings. All students should lock every item in a locker inside the locker room. Students should be sure to have a lock with them. If the school has issued them a lock for physical education, they may use that lock. Nothing should be left on the floor once students leave for practice or a game. Also, it’s important that they do not share the locker combination with other students. This should help to protect students’ belongings from potential harm or theft. We also hope that this gives students ownership and responsibility in protecting their belongings.
We urge all students not to bring personal stereos, expensive jewelry, large amounts of money (over $10) or any other valuables to the locker room. The school is not responsible for any items lost or stolen in the locker room.
Thank you for your help in this. Any questions please contact the school administration at 215 944-2500.
Sincerely,
Anthony Judice
Athletic Director
