RMS STUDENTS IN THE NEWS

Connor Macaulay was involved in the filming of a documentary to be aired on ESPN. The documentary is titled, "Little Big Men" and is about the 1982 Kirkland, Washington team that defeated Taiwan to win the Little League World Series. Connor and several of his teammates from the Diamond Jacks of Flemington, NJ were selected to participate in the filming. It is set to air in August on ESPN.

Congratulations to the CRUSA Cobras U14 Boys team for winning the EPYSA President's Cup. The team recorded four straight shutouts before winning the final game 4-1. The team moves on to the Region 1 President's Cup in Albany, New York on May 29-31.

Amanda Drobot was chosen for the Select Girls Select 14 USA Hockey National Development Camp representing the Atlantic District. She is the first defenseman in Lady Patriots history to make this team. She will attend this camp with the best 1996 birth year female players July 22-28th in Rochester NY.

Katherine Barkman is a 7th grade student at Richboro Middle School, where she is not only an honors student carrying all A's, and a teacher elected Student Governor for her grade, she is involved with a performing arts company called Joyful Soles.
Joyful Soles is a performing arts company committed to the growth and increased social awareness of its members through involvement in community outreach. Performing members will be working through mediums of dance, acting, and vocal performance to serve and educate the community. Joyful Soles performers focus on the increasing social awareness of current global issues and fostering a sense of unity within the local surrounding communities. The company works to raise money for targeted charities linked to issues addressed within shows. Katherine has performed at nursing homes, local festivals, and community churches, and aims to dance at Children's Hospital for sick children. Katherine is a young leader, setting an example to follow for her fellow classmates. {pencil}

Congratulations Lauren Foisy and Julia Cohen
Lauren Foisy and Julia Cohen were honored by being nominated and accepted to participate in The National Youth Leadership Initiative (NYLI) during the week of
Lauren and Julia and with other active youth leaders from Pennsylvania will be meeting with our state representatives on Capitol Hill in order to present the issues as they seethem in their prospective communities. {pencil}
Congratulations to the following students for being selected to be published in the 2010 poetry anthology titled A Celebration of Poets.
Jessica Templeton and her favorite horse, Chief of Broadmeadow's Farm, qualified in the 4H County Round Up on July 18th in 3 out of her 5 Junior Division qualifying classes to go on to the 4H Regional Horse Show on August 22nd. At Regionals Jessica placed 2nd in her Stock Seat Equitation class, 5th in Western Pleasure, and 5th in Open Trail. Riders from 5 different counties compete at this event and only the top two riders from each western riding class move on to the next competition. Jessica & Chief will be participating in the 4H State Competition in her Stock Seat Equitation class on October 24th at the Harrisburg Farm Show Complex.

In April 2009 Kaela Romani and her 8 hand Irish dance team from the RYAN-KLYCOYNE SCHOOL OF IRISH DANCE placed 19th in the world championship competition, held in Philadelphia the first time the competition has ever been held outside of Europe.
