CUB PACK 147 OF HOLLAND EMBRACES OLWEUS PROGRAM!!!
On Friday, November 3, 2006, at the request of Den Leader Tim O'Donnell, members of the Holland Elementary Bully Prevention Task Force will be attending Cub Pack 147's Round Robin Meeting at Holland Elementary. There will be 4 stations of activities in which the cub scouts will be invited to participate. Our Task Force Members will be presenting bully prevention activities at 2 of these stations...in hopes of raising awareness among our Cub Scouts about the negative affects that bullying has on victims, bullies, bystanders and families.

HOW DID CUB PACK 147 BECOME INVOLVED?
Following the HES staff bully prevention training on August 29, 2006....stories appeared in the Bucks County Courier
Times....describing the day's events and announcing to the community... that Holland Elementary School is determined to maintain a safe and peaceful environment for all..... by enforcing Olweus Bully Prevention techniques....therefore, preventing the bullying issue from ever becoming a threat to our students.
Shortly after viewing these stories, Den 1 Leader, Mr. Tim O'Donnell communicated with Andy Sanko regarding the Olweus Program and indicated that Cub Pack 147....in support of Holland Elementary's stand against bullying....would like to join us by adopting the Olweus Bully Prevention method into the Cub Pack's regular meetings.
It was then decided that Mr. O'Donnell would take a seat on our Bully Prevention Task Force.
