Jazz Band

Jazz Band is an auditioned group that will meet after school on Thursdays until 4:30. All auditionees should have at least 1 year experience on their instrument and they should know how to read music. The following are dates to keep in mind:

November 15th (Thursday)-Auditions after school until 5:00
November 29th (Thursday)-1st Jazz Band Rehearsal after school until 4:30
December 13th (Thursday)-Jazz Band Rehearsal after school until 4:30
December 20th (Thursday)-Jazz Band Rehearsal after school until 4:30
January 3rd (Thursday)-Jazz Band Rehearsal after school until 4:30
Rehearsals will continue on Thursdays in this manner up until the Spring Concert in May.
Date TBA-Council Rock Jazz Night at Newtown Middle School
May 21st (Tuesday)-Maureen M. Welch Instrumental Spring Concert. Start time 7:30.

Rule of thumb for Jazz Band rehearsals in December through May--If it is a Thursday, and we have school, then Jazz Band rehearsal will be held unless otherwise stated.
