2013 Winter Guard Season Recap
The 18 members of 2013 Council Rock South winter guard took the bold step of being the FIRST-EVER winter guard here at South. The winter guard rehearsed two to three times per week, and performed a total of 5 times in various competitions throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The group of ladies and gentlemen worked hard, and got better at color guard every week. Eventually, the team made that milestone breakthrough, and their score jumped 13 points! 2013 was the ‘dawn’ of a new era, and a time we will always be proud of!

2012 Marching Band Season Recap
In our first foray into Ranking-style competition in the Cavalcade of Bands circuit, South delivered an impressive finale performance. The band stood at parade rest in the stands as the scores were announced… in 6th place… in 5th place…. By the time the announcer got to 4th place, some of the students were already jumping up and down. When South was announced in 3rd place with a score of 89.55 the members erupted into cheer! The band would later find out that they also won the caption of Ensemble Visual, in a field of competitors that represent the very best of south eastern Pennsylvania.
In addition to their strong performance in the Yankee division (80 members and above,) South had the third highest score out of all 21 bands in competition! The top 3 finish meant that we were able to take home yet another trophy. The Bold and Gold band also had a chance to see bands they have likely never seen before, performing in styles that were very new to our band. Above all, our students represented Council Rock South most admirably both on and off the field.
A very heartfelt Thank you to all of our Parents, Staff, Volunteers and our talented young people on making 2012 one of our best marching seasons so far.
