To Interested Members of the Council Rock Community,

Council Rock School District continues to review the R-Rated films and film clips that are used in high school classrooms.  Each of these films were “re-approved” under Board Policy 109 – the policy that governs the guidelines and process for the approval of these films.  Published as part of this web link is the new list of approved films for the 2017-2018 school year.

This list will have dynamic links to each of the approval forms and parent permission letters.

While we have clarified the use of these movies on many occasions, it remains important for our community to know that these curriculum resources are used as supplements in classrooms in our high schools.  Many of these movies are used only in part to help describe a particular period in history, or a genre of literature, or to form the basis of a concept for classroom instruction.   For each of these movies, parent permission is required before any of these R-Rated films are shown to your child.
