• Accessing Guidance

“I expect to pass through the world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness I can show to any creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer it, for I shall not pass this way again.”

    — Stephen Grellet

Are school counseling sessions with a school counselor the same as with an outside therapist?

No. School counselors meet with students on an individual basis when there is a crisis or when students require explicit instruction on skills, based on data during the school day.  Outside therapists provide more intensive, individualized, and ongoing therapy.
