The course content for Fifth Grade Humanities is social studies based and focuses on these essential questions:
How does geography of a region influence the culture of its inhabitants?
How do rules protect individual rights as well as meet the needs of society?
How and why do people move? How do we use the past to build the future?
What are the responsibilities of a good citizen?
What are the lessons that be learned from current events?
Areas of study will include:
Archaeology, Geography of the US, Exploration, European Settlements, Colonies, Uniting the Colonies and the events leading to the writing of the Constitution.
