Dear A-5 - My Sixth Grade Class:
Dear Parents and (A-5) - My Sixth Grade Class,
First let me introduce myself. My name is Ms. Cooke and I have been teaching in Council Rock School District for a very very long time. You might ask "How long?" Well, a couple of former students are now accountants, doctors, electricians, and teachers at Council Rock. I also have a former student who is a dentist in this area. Even though it has been a long time, I love teaching and seeing my students grow as learners.
To prepare for 6th grade, you should review your math skills. We will also have a brand new schedule and new units in other core subject areas. Like every year, I am so excited to meet my new students and to learn together as a class. You will be amazed by how much you grow and mature as an individual. When you step into 6th grade, it is like stepping into "middle school". Remember it is okay to make a mistake, as long as you learn from it and keep having a positive attitude towards learning. Also, your parents and I are a team. Our mission is to help you become successful this year. We want to help strengthen all areas of your academics so that you are ready for the next level of school; middle school.
