    About STAR:

    S.T.A.R. is an organization that allows high school students to visit our district’s elementary schools and tutor the students, or assist the elementary school teachers with after-school learning activities.

    If you would like to have the opportunity to POTENTIALLY be matched with a participating teacher, please read the Procedures, Responsibilities, & Expectations document linked below and fill out the form also linked below.  Deadline for submitting forms will be announced.

    *Attention STAR Tutors:
     
     In the next few weeks, following our first organizational meeting, tutoring schedules will be listed. Please remember that in addition to providing your own transportation, you are responsible for contacting your cooperating teacher to set up meeting days and times if necessary. Please check the bus schedule for buses that stop near your elementary school. Remember: you MUST bring in a note from your parents stating that you have permission to ride our district bus to the elementary school, and you must present that note to Mr. Griesbaum's office prior to your first trip on the bus! Please be sure to follow all STAR guidelines that you signed and agreed to at our first meeting. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in your removal from the organization.
