Children are encouraged to select booksusing the following guidelines:Select an "I READ" book(one that can be read independently).Select a "YOU READ" book(one that can be read aloud by a parent,grandparent, babysitter or older sibling).Select a "WE READ" book(one to examine for interesting photos or illustrationsFines for overdue books are NEVER charged.Kindergarten: Students select one book every weekly visit. Books are due the next week. Students who forget to return their books select and SAVE their new book until the previous one is returned. Students select books from the Easy section of the Library.1st Grade: Students begin the school year selecting one book during each weekly Library visit. During the second half of the year the limit is two books; with an emphasis on a fiction and a non-fiction choice.
2nd Grade: Students may select two books from any sections of the Library.
3rd Grade: Students may select three books from any sections of the Library.
4th-6th Grade: Students may select four books from any sections of the Library.In Addition-Students may check out an unlimited number of books needed for a class assignment.
