    Dear Students and Parents!
To those who are new to NES or our class...Welcome!  To those who I know and have worked with before...Welcome Back!  We are beginning the 2021-22 school year and I hope that you are as excited as I am to return to the classroom for new learning adventures!  Hopefully you made many happy memories this summer, spending quality time with family and friends or enjoying your favorite activities. I kept busy this summer by gardening, reading, spending time with my nephews, and taking a beach vacation with family.  I look forward to hearing all about your summer activities when I see you soon.

Each school year brings opportunities for all of us to set goals and put forth our best effort to meet those goals, along with any challenges we face along the way. The important thing to remember is that we are a TEAM...We're in this together!  We are all teachers in our classroom, modeling good citizenship and sharing what we know. We are all learners, too, respectfully listening to and learning from others' thoughts and ideas. Our recipe for success requires teamwork, patience, and persistence, as we support one another along the way!  In addition, a positive home-school connection that provides appropriate support and open communication is essential to promote a productive and enjoyable school experience for all.  I look forward to working together and facilitating your journey to discover the tools and strategies that will help you become a successful, lifelong learner!

We will still be using Google Classroom for some of your learning & assignments this year, so once this is set up I will be inviting you to join the appropriate classroom. Paper and pencil, Chromebooks, and hands-on tools and manipulatives will be part of your instruction as well.

Our Meet & Greet will be in-person this year, so I look forward to seeing you on August 26th.  Please stop by to say hello between 2:30 - 3:30 PMBack to School Night is also in-person and I will provide information on the date and time for my Resource Room session once it is set.

Until then, enjoy the remaining days of summer!  See you soon!

    Warm Regards,

    Ms. Hoffmann
