• Book Talks

Literature Circle groups will be taking place in our classroom.  Each group will complete a contract.  On the contract they chose a book to read, how much they will read each day, and what job each of the members will perform for the group meetings.

We are very excited to get started.  Here are some of the books a group may choose The Trouble With Tuck by Theodore Taylor.  It is about a friendship between a girl and her dog that is going blind.  Another book is  Who Stole the Wizzard of Oz by Avi.  This book is about a brother and sister who sovle a mystery of the missing books.   The War with Grandpa by Robert Kemmel Smith is a story concerning a relationship between a grandfather and his grandson. Will Peter ever get his room back? Howliday Inn by James Howe is a funny novel about a dog and a  cat. Chester, the cat, and Harold, the dog, find themselves in a mystery at a pet hotel.

Please be sure to ask your child about the story they are reading and writing about.
