    Developing positive attitudes towards art for a lifetime…

     

     

    …is the singular goal of the Art Education program at Holland Elementary School (HES). During their years at HES, our students learn about art history, discover new techniques and processes, and engage in meaningful discussions about art.

    Student artwork is highlighted in small exhibits throughout the school year in the halls of HES, in a small permanent collection prominently displayed in the building, and annually at the Council Rock School District Art Show held each spring.

    Various technologies including PowerPoint presentations, websites and photographic slide shows supplement the rich collection of visual aids used to teach the curriculum.

    Over the course of six years at HES, with the main focus on studio production, HES students grow to become competent communicators and literate participants in the world of visual arts.
