     Mr. Barry J. Desko

    Mr. Desko is in his first year of Director of K-12 Education after having served as the Director of Secondary Education since 2006. Previously the principal of Newtown Middle School for twelve years his other experiences were in junior and senior high school settings in Bucks County where he served as teacher, athletic director and administrator.  Mr. Desko has a BS in Health and Physical Education from West Chester University and a MS in Education from the College of New Jersey.  He also holds a Principal's Certification from the College of New Jersey.  He has been with Council Rock for over twenty years.  He and his wife Risa have three children.

    Churchville Elementary School

    Mrs. Jill Kingston joined the Council Rock School District as Principal of Churchville Elementary School in 2008. Prior to coming to Council Rock, she spent 10 years in the Central Bucks School District. In Central Bucks, Mrs. Kingston taught first, fifth and sixth grade before contributing as Assistant Principal at Cold Spring Elementary School and Acting Principal at Kutz Elementary School. Mrs. Kingston holds a Master's degree from Delaware Valley College in Educational Leadership with a certification in administration, as well as a Bachelor's degree from Western New York's Daemen College in Elementary Education. She enjoys spending time with her family and five Bulldogs.
     
    Goodnoe Elementary School

    Mrs. Nicole Crawford joined the Council Rock Administrative team in July 2006.  She served as principal of Wrightstown Elementary School for three years before joining the Goodnoe Elementary School community as principal in July 2009.  Mrs. Crawford earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from West Chester University and a Master’s degree in School Administration from Rowan University.  Prior to her arrival in Council Rock, Mrs. Crawford taught kindergarten, third and fourth grade in the Hillside and Cherry Hill School Districts in New Jersey.  During this time, she also served as a staff developer and enjoyed collaborating with educators on best practices for teaching reading and writing at the elementary level.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling. Nicole and her husband Kevin are the proud parents of two sons, Kevin and Matthew. 
     
    Hillcrest Elementary School
    Mrs. Nakia Jones-Tate

    Nakia Jones-Tate is the Principal of Hillcrest Elementary School.  Mrs. Jones-Tate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Cheyney University; where she graduated as class valedictorian. This prestigious honor exhibits the high-level of academic standards that Mrs. Jones-Tate sets for herself and those around her.   Mrs. Jones-Tate received her Master’s Degree in Multicultural Education from Eastern University. She earned her K-12 Administrative Certification from Eastern University as well.   Prior to her arrival in Council Rock, Mrs. Jones-Tate was an Assistant Principal in the Norristown Area School District, located in Montgomery County.  In addition to her administrative experience, Mrs. Jones-Tate taught kindergarten, first grade, and instructional support.  Nakia enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. She believes that her role as a mother provides a global perspective and great insight into the world of administration. 
     
    Holland Elementary School

    Joe MacClay is in his first year as the Principal of Holland Elementary School and has been with Council Rock for the last 11 years.  He formerly served as Interim Director of Elementary Education and as principal of Rolling Hills and Maureen M. Welch Elementary Schools.  Mr. MacClay began his vocation in education with teaching positions in Archdiocese of Philadelphia, but most of his teaching career was spent in the Central Bucks School District as a learning support and fifth grade teacher at Linden Elementary School.  He also later served as an assistant principal at Cold Spring Elementary School. Mr. MacClay earned his Bachelor’s degree at LaSalle University, his Master’s degrees from Holy Family University and Delaware Valley University, and his Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from California University of Pennsylvania.  He enjoys music, playing all sports, and, most of all, spending time with his wife, Colleen, and three children – JJ, Garrett and Callie. 
     
    Maureen M. Welch Elementary School

    Mrs. Rebecca Grimm, has served the Council Rock School District in a number of roles since 1993, having taught at Holland Elementary and Maureen M. Welch Elementary Schools prior to her position as assistant principal at Richboro Middle School.  Serving as the principal at Richboro Elementary School for nine years, in 2015 she had the unique opportunity to re-join the Maureen M. Welch staff as their educational leader. Mrs. Grimm holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration with certification in Curriculum and Instruction from Rider University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Special Education from The College of New Jersey. She attended West Chester University to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Mrs. Grimm enjoys reading, gardening and travel.
     

    Newtown Elementary School

    Mr. Kevin King has been in education for over thirty years, twenty of those serving as administrator at either the elementary or junior high levels. Mr. King served as the Principal of Wrightstown Elementary School from 1999-2006.  He has served as the Principal of Newtown Elementary School for the past nine years.  Mr. King holds a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Penn State University.  In addition, he holds Elementary Instructional II, Elementary Principal Administrative II and Secondary Principal Administrative II certificates.  He looks forward to working with students, teachers, and parents on a daily basis.  Mr. King enjoys sports, time with family, and exercise.  He lives with his wife and daughter in Doylestown, PA.

     

    Richboro Elementary School

    Dr. Daneyelle Jordan, principal at Richboro Elementary School, has been serving the Council Rock School District for over ten years. After graduating from Ithaca College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Temple University with a Ph.D. in School Psychology, Dr. Jordan became the school psychologist at Hillcrest Elementary and Richboro Middle Schools.  During that time, she earned her K-12 Principal Certificate from Delaware Valley College and was an adjunct professor at Rider University.  In addition to Dr. Jordan’s varied child-focused experiences throughout her education, she has been involved in several district and building level committees with the primary goal of ensuring success for all students.  She values establishing strong relationships with students, staff, parents and the community.  Outside of school, Dr. Jordan enjoys spending time with her husband Keith and their daughter Brianna.   

     
     
     

    Rolling Hills Elementary School

    Mr. Sam Smith, principal of Rolling Hills Elementary, has been serving the Council Rock community for over sixteen years. After graduating from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Mr. Smith taught third, fourth, and sixth grades at Holland Elementary School. During that time, he earned a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology and his Principal Certificate both from Saint Joseph’s University. Mr. Smith also served as the Math Specialist at Holland and Maureen M. Welch Elementary Schools. At home, Mr. Smith enjoys reading, golf, and running. His favorite activity is spending time with his wife Joanna and their four children – Nick, Tyler, Owen, and Lilly.
     

    Sol Feinstone Elementary School

    Mr. John Harlan has been serving the Council Rock community for over seventeen years.  Before coming to Council Rock, he graduated from Wilkes University with a degree in Business Administration.  He quickly realized his heart was in the wrong place and decided to enter the teaching profession.  He earned his teaching certificate from East Stroudsburg University.  From there he taught second grade in South Brunswick, New Jersey for one year before coming to Sol Feinstone Elementary.  During his tenure as a teacher at Sol Feinstone, Mr. Harlan taught fifth and sixth grade.  He graduated from Rider University with a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration.  He is very proud to be the principal at SFE.  In his spare time, he enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with his wife Kate and three boys Chase, Brady and Max.
     
     Wrightstown Elementary School

    Mrs. Beth Ann Fox joined the Council Rock Administrative Team as principal of Wrightstown Elementary School in July of 2013.  She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Penn State University, a Master’s degree in Special Education from Holy Family University, and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University.  Prior to coming to Council Rock, she served in the Neshaminy School District for 13 years.  In Neshaminy, Mrs. Fox taught Learning Support English at Neshaminy High School, served as assistant principal at Maple Point Middle School and principal of Lower Southampton Elementary School.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with her husband, Tadd and son Nolan.
