Dear Super Sixth Graders,
Welcome to 6th grade!! Can you believe this is your last year of elementary school?? We know that this is going to be a wonderful year, and we are so EXCITED to be your teachers and share this journey with you!!
We hope that you all had a great summer and were able to make some fun memories with your family and friends! Mrs. Peloso had lots of fun making fun memories with her family. She spent time in Ocean City, NJ, going to Great Wolf Lodge, visiting Knoebels and Hershey Park, and much more. She also loved being able to spend time with her four year old (almost five year old) son, Parker. He loves being active, so lots of time was spent doing fun activities, from riding bikes, going to playgrounds, visiting the library, going to the Elmwood Zoo and swimming. Mrs. Peloso lives in Doylestown with her husband, son Parker (4), and her Yorkiepoo Yoshi. Mrs. Kaleck also had a memorable summer. She enjoyed some lazy days, concerts with her family, and trips to the beach. She also traveled on a cruise ship to Bermuda! The weather was perfect, the ship was full of fun activities, and Bermuda had the most beautiful pink sand beaches! Mrs. Kaleck lives in Warrington with her husband and two daughters, Emma (20) and Shawna (14), and her little dog Lukey. We can't wait to get to know each of you and hear all about your summer adventures during our first few days of school!!
Sixth grade is a year full of amazing experiences!! This is your year to really shine and show NES what great leaders you are. It is our goal to help you reach your fullest potential as a student this school year! Of course, there are many interesting topics that we will be studying. This year you will be learning about many ancient civilizations in social studies, studying four different themes in science, using a middle school reading and math program and so much more. We are really looking forward to creating special memories with all of you this year!!
Parents, as we get ready for the start of our school year, please let us know if your child goes by another name. We will be labeling items throughout the classroom, so we want to be sure we label them correctly.
We invite you to join us for our Meet and Greet on Thursday, August 25th, from 2:30-3:30. If you are able to attend, please feel free to bring your school supplies to drop off. If you aren’t able to come, we look forward to seeing you on our first day, which is Monday, August 29th. Another important date is our Back to School Night, which will be held on Tuesday, August 30th at 7:00 P.M.
We hope you enjoy your last few weeks of summer and get ready for a fun-filled and challenging year of learning and growing!
