Dear Future Second Graders and Parents,

    Welcome to second grade!  We are very excited to meet you and we are looking forward to working with you in the coming school year.

    Please purchase the following supplies prior to the beginning of the school year.  Following is a list of necessary items FOR ALL TEACHERS. Please see below for additional items requested by each teacher.  (Please note that consumable supplies may need to be replenished throughout the school year. Reminder notes will come home when supplies are low.)


    Please label the following supplies with your first and last name: folders, wide-ruled black marble compostion book, plastic pencil storage case, scissors, highlighters, felt whiteboard erasers, whiteboards, and head phones. 

    You do not need to label pencils, glue sticks, crayons, expo markers, white erasers, twistables, tissues or wipes.  These items will be shared in our classroom student supply bins. 


    1 YELLOW plastic bottom pocket folder
    1 RED plastic bottom pocket folder with 3-prongs (fasteners in center)
    1 BLUE plastic bottom pocket folder with 3-prongs (fasteners in center)
    1 GREEN plastic bottom pocket folder with 3-prongs (fasteners in center)
    Wide-ruled black marble composition book
    1 plastic pencil storage container (8.5 in. x 5.75 in. x 2.5 in.)
    Child size scissors (5 inch)
    Crayola Crayons (24 count)
    1 glue stick           
    36 Dixon Ticonderoga #2 pencils (please sharpen at home)
    4 white erasers
    1 yellow highlighter
    12 Expo black fine-tip whiteboard markers (low odor)
    Felt whiteboard eraser (5 inch)
    Box of tissues
    1 package of Wet Ones or Lysol type wipes ( no Clorox please)
    Earphones in a Ziplock bag labeled with your name

    1 whiteboard (Approx. 9 X 12) 
    1 box of Twistables


    You will also need a small healthy snack each day to eat in our room.  You may purchase lunch in our cafeteria, but your snack should come from home.
    Also, if you haven't already done so, it would be a great idea to set up a homework supply area where homework tools would be easy to access for homework time.  Some ideas include using a second pencil pouch (this one for home), a shoe box, a plastic bin, or a basket.  Items to include are: pencils, erasers, crayons/ colored pencils, scissors, glue stick, a highlighter, and a pencil sharpener.  Many kids use last year's supplies as their home supplies if they are buying new ones for this year.
