PHONE APPS: REMIND, SEESAW for Families, Flipgrid

You will be so tech savvy, just like your children, when they are done Kindergarten. You will love all these apps.  Each is a form of communication for you and your child during their year in Kindergarten.   Communication is key to the success for your children and my students. We are a team and together we will work on the success of your child.  Please download the following apps.

REMIND app

I will send many reminders regarding school, snack time, or an update.  You can also send messages to me during the day regarding dismissal or just if something needs to be addressed right away.  I will check this all morning and will get right back to you. If I don't you don't hear back and it is urgent, please call the office to give them transportation changes.  Thank you.

Seesaw app for families.  This is a digital portfolio for your student and for you to view and comment on.  Your child will be posting pictures of their work, videos of readings and writings and some art work and just pictures from the day.   Students love sharing their work and play with you.  I will be sending you an individual code to log into your family app.  This is NOT for the students, just for you to see their portfolio.

We will be using this all year to report our news of the week from home and also from school. I will send an email and video on how to do a flipgrid.  This is a great way to share math work, our weekend news or a response to a story.  Please find a place in your home that has nice lighting so the video is not dark and a place that is quiet (no TV on).  It makes for a much better video for all to hear and see.
