A Note From the Counselor
Dear Holland Elementary Families,
Welcome to my webpage. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Dolores O’Neill and I love being a School Counselor in Council Rock School District.
My passion for counseling began during my time as an undergraduate student at La Salle University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. I continued my studies at The University of Pennsylvania, where I earned a master’s degree in applied psychology and human development. I also completed post-graduate studies at Holy Family University, Newtown and have worked in counseling and education for over 18 years.
As a School Counselor, I strive to support the success of every student, every day and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to do this in Council Rock School District. As you may already know, Holland Elementary is a special place like no other and I have been so grateful to call this place home for about six years now.
When I am not at work, I spend most of my time with my family. My husband and I are raising two amazing sons who certainly keep us on our toes! We also have a very energetic German Shepherd named Libby, who is always ready to play! I love listening to music, spending time outdoors and I can’t get enough of the beach in the summer months. I enjoy gardening, being in nature and am often reading up on how to gain more butterfly visitors. Over the summer, I began volunteering in the Butterfly House at The Churchville Nature Center and it has been an exciting and educational experience for me. During the rest of the year, I am busy supporting my sons with their academics, musical instruments or personal and creative interests. I am so grateful to watch them grow and change every day.
It is a blessing to continue working with the students and staff at Holland Elementary School. I wish you a happy and exciting year of learning and growth and I urge you to contact me if you have questions or concerns.
All the best,
Mrs. Dolores O’Neill
