Hello First Graders! Here are this week's activities. Have fun!
Week of June 1:
Summer is here and Rooster is taking a very well deserved vacation at the beach. He needs the help of his farm friends to wake the farmer while he is away. WHAT COULD HAPPEN??? Enjoy this funny story about when friends help out. Click on the title below to read along.
Would you like to participate in the story?
1. Click on the Farm Animals link below and print out the page.
2. Choose two of your favorite animals or more from the story and cut out those pictures.
3. Use a small piece of tape and attach it to your finger, straw or popsicle stick.
4. Listen to the story again. When it's time for your animals to speak, hold up your finger puppets and Cock-a-Doodle Do to the sound of your farm animal. Enjoy!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!
Clark the Shark likes to have fun with his friends at school.
He learns an important lesson to keep his cool at school. Click on Clark the Shark below and enjoy this fun read aloud. Be sure to listen carefully for the many rhyming words and then play two fun games with Zat the Rat.
Week of May 18:
The weather is getting warmer and we're beginning to think more about fun times at the beach.

Practice and review sight words with
the sorting game and search for hidden words in the picture hunt.

Enjoy reading and singing along with Llama, Llama and his Mama.
Keep singing....and play these two fun games about when two vowels go walking.

Enjoy these two fun games using long vowels and sight words.
