• AP European History (11th/12th Grade)

Welcome back to the 2020/21 school year!! This school year may see some challenges, but there is truly no other group of students I would rather share it with!! Because this is a college-level course, it will require a great deal of motivation and commitment; everything else can be taught. Not only will you learn about political, cultural, and social events that have shaped Europe from 1450 to the present day, but you will learn study skills, refine your historical thinking, and continue to develop arguments through the examination of primary and secondary resources. This will put you in an active role as a historian. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and earn college credit by taking the AP European History national exam in May 2021.

I have no doubt you will excel at this challenge!

    Format:

You will have a reading schedule that you must follow. In-class assignments will build on that knowledge and allow you to analyze the information at a deeper level. I will also provide additional and optional learning resources, clinics, and study sessions. All deadlines will be given in advance so that you may best budget your school and extra-curricular activities.

    Summer Assignment:

The department collectively decided there would be no AP summer coursework for the 2020-21 school year.
