    PIAA COVID Guidelines

    HMS Guidelines:

     

    ATHLETES

     

    Prior to Arrival Each Day:

    1. Parents and athletes should check for flu like symptoms including a temperature check. If you have any symptoms or your temperature is over 100.4, you should stay home!  Contact your coach and Mrs. Spadafora and let them know. 
    2. Wash hands or use hand sanitizer
    3. Bring a mask
    4. Bring your own water bottle and label it with your name
    5. Bring a bottle of hand sanitizer for yourself to use as needed
    6. Label all of your equipment
    7. Carry your own bag in, and out. Your equipment should only be handled by you. 
    8. If you are arriving from home, please get dressed before coming to school for practice so you do not need to use the locker room.

    When You Arrive:

    1. Check in with your coach to complete the check in procedure form
    2. Place your equipment 6 feet away from teammates
    3. Students should arrive prepared to begin and avoid congregating before practice

    While Playing:

    1. While on site, if you start to feel sick, you need to let your coach and Mrs. Spadafora know ASAP.
    2. Face masks are required at all times (Winter Sports)
    3. No spitting, gum, high fives, fist bumps, chest bumps, etc.
    4. Keep mouth guard in mouth (if applicable)
    5. Post game handshakes are no longer happening

    While On The Sideline:

    1. While on site, if you start to feel sick, you need to let your coach know ASAP.
    2. Put your mask on
    3. Stay socially distant from coaches and teammates
    4. Use sanitizer if you feel it is needed
    5. Only use your water bottle

    When You Leave:

    1. Sanitize your equipment
    2. Shower
    3. Contact your coach and Mrs. Spadafora if you start to feel sick or develop a fever

    PARENTS

    Prior to Arrival Each Day:

    1. Parents should check their child for flu like symptoms including temperature check. If your child has any symptoms or your temperature is over 100.4, they should stay home!  Contact your child’s coach and Mrs. Spadafora and let them know ASAP. 
    2. Be sure your child has a mask, water bottle, and all their equipment. Clearly label with the child’s name.

     

    When You Leave:

    1. Be sure to ask your child how they are feeling.
    2. Wash all clothes and sanitize any equipment.
