    I hope this email finds all CR South families safe, healthy, and doing well.  This email is being sent to the primary parent email contact in HAC and the CRSD student email account of every CRS student.  This e-mail contains important information for students interested in participating in winter sports at Council Rock South in the 2022-2023 school year.  Please read this carefully as there is some new information. We continue to use ATS, the on-line software program that allows students, parents, and coaches to log in check on the athletes file.  For the 2022-2022 school year physical packets will only be accepted on-line, including re-certification forms.  Forms will be available in the ATS portal effective 6/1/2022.  Again, ALL Physical paperwork is only accepted online via the ATS Portal. No paper copies will be accepted

    Students, at the bottom of this e-mail you should find your username and password. (Parents are not sent this information)

     Parents, please have your child check their CRSD student email and provide you with the login and password.

    For security reasons, your password will need to be reset after your initial login. 

    The GENERAL tab is for information about the STUDENT ATHLETE. 

    The EMERGENCY tab is where the parent information should be. 

    ****PLEASE NOTE**** We have tied the ATS system to the information that is in the HAC system.  The information will be updated nightly.  If you see information that is incorrect or out of date in ATS, DO NOT attempt to correct it in the ATS system, it will be overwritten during the update.  To correct information please log in to the HAC system (https://hac.crsd.org/HomeAccess) and make updates there or contact Central Registration (Registration@crsd.org) to make updates.

    ***Please have your student login and look around the system.  Their username is their CRSD student ID number.  Your password is the one that you used for the 2021-2022 school year.  The passwords will be included in the email that is sent to each CRSD student email address.   CRS_1 is NO LONGER a default password.  If this is the first time in ATS this school year, again, you may be prompted to change the password.

    When scheduling your physical appointment, please take into consideration the possibility of long wait times to get an appointment.  You can submit your online paperwork and physical any time after June 1st, regardless of what season you are participating in.  Under the “eFiles” tab you will find PIAA Section 7.  Please print it out and take it to your physician. 

    You can scan the physical and upload it directly into your student’s record via ATS. There are several free apps for smartphones that have the ability to scan to a PDF file.     To fill out the physical packet, click on the “Forms” tab.  There are 7 forms that need to be completed and submitted.

    VALID FOR PARTICPATION.  PHYSICALS DATED PRIOR TO JUNE 1, 2022 WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

    AS PER PIAA AND CRSD RULES, ALL PHYSICALS MUST BE DATED ON, OR AFTER JUNE 1, 2021 TO BE VALID FOR PARTICPATION.  PHYSICALS DATED PRIOR TO JUNE 1, 2021 WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

    ***Please note: many physicians wish to review Section 6 “Health History”, you should print a copy after you complete it to give to your physician at the physical. 

    Also once you upload Section 7, it will show up on the uploaded list, but will not show as checked off under paperwork until an athletic department representative visually verifies the form is valid.***

    *******NOTE: If you have completed the paperwork for a FALL sport, you simply only need to complete the RECERTIFICATION WINTER form, unless you were injured in the fall season.  Then you must have your physician complete and sign Section 8.

     

    A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE--- We DO NOT ACCEPT any other Physical Form other than the Section 7 – PIAA CIPPE Form that is located under the “efiles” tab.  Pennsylvania Department of Health School Physical Forms are NOT ACCEPTED. 

     

    If your child is not due for a physical until after November 18, 2022 due to insurance reasons, please be aware that your child WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE until a physical form is completed and uploaded to ATS.  The PIAA and CRSD cannot allow any student to participate in ANY ACTIVITY until a valid, current physical is completed and on file.  All physicals completed for a 2021-2022 sport are no longer valid after June 1, 2022.

     

    PLEASE ENSURE ALL PHYSICAL FORMS ARE SIGNED AND DATED BY THE MEDICAL PROVIDER!  They will not be accepted if they are not completed with a SIGNATURE AND DATE.

    Please do not include immunizations, allergy action plans, or other ancillary paperwork in the ATS portal.  All of these papers MUST go to the nurse’s office directly.

     

     

    Concussion Education and ImPACT testing:

    As we have done since the COVID-19 pandemic, Concussion education and ImPACT testing will be completed online from home.  Instructions for completing the education portion and how to take the ImPACT test are included as 2 ATTACHMENTS to this email. One set of instructions is for the Concussion Education module and the other is for the IMPACT Test.  Please understand that there are 2 different requirements.  See attachments to this email.

    ***Concussion Education is MANDATORY for all student athletes wishing to participate in athletics.

    ***ImPACT Testing is MANDATORY for men's/women's basketball, wrestling, cheerleading, and the following track events. (vaulters, jumpers and hurdlers)

    All other student athletes are welcome to take it if they desire.

     

     

    Winter 2022 Important Dates:

     

     - June 1, 2022 is the earliest date an athlete can have a physical for the 2022-2023 school year. 

    THIS IS THE FIRST DAY YOU MAY COMPLETE/SUBMIT ANY INFORMATION INTO ATS.

    *** FIRST DAY OF WINTER SPORTS is Friday, November 18, 2022 (Please contact your specific head coach for times/locations).    Many coaches update their team pages on the CR South webpage, so please be sure to check the specific sport pages for information.  Stay tuned for announcements during the school day regarding possible team organizational meetings. 

    ***All Winter 2022 Paperwork and Physicals must be completed on/and uploaded to the ATS Portal by 11:59pm on Sunday, October 30 , 2022. ***
