The mission of the Council Rock School District's Special Services Department is to support our students.

To help us fulfill our mission, the Department conducts regular meetings to facilitate communication between parents and administration in regard to special education programming and support provided by the district.

  • Goals

  • Our Special Services Parent Meetings are designed to give parents and families an opportunity to learn about topics and programs avaialble to children in need of Special Services.

Our Special Services meetings typically meet four times throughout the year.

The purpose of  these meetings is:

    • to share resources with parents/caregivers regarding special education
    • to present speakers and topics relevant to special education programming
    • to collaborate and promote a mutually supportive environment to enhance programming
    • to solicit input from parents and caregivers.

Additionally, from time to time, the Special Services Department conducts community forums that are also open to the public at large. Information on these events is posted through the official Council Rock platforms.

We advise all families to be cautious about relying on information posted on social media platforms not maintained by Council Rock.

If you have any questions about any upcoming events, please contact your child's teacher or school principal.

    Many thanks,

    The Special Services Team
