Our class read Bobby Kennedy's speech On The Mindless Menace of Violence. He delivered this speech the day after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was shot. It appears below as a link. Audio of him delivering the speech appears below too.

Amanda Sinderovsky's selected passage and response:
"Too often we honor swagger and bluster and wielders of force; too often we excuse those who are willing to build their own lives on the shattered dreams of others. Some Americans who preach non-violence abroad fail to practice it here at home. Some who accuse others of inciting riots have by their own conduct invited them."
I picked this paragraph because it means a lot. This paragraph is saying that we always let the people that shoot and kill others and that we just let it go. I don’t think we should do that. Like Bobby Kennedy says, “Violence breeds violence!’
