    All students in Council Rock School District take Family and Consumer Science during one 6-week cycle in seventh and eighth grades.

    Seventh grade students in Family and Consumer Science learn proper measuring techniques and will learn how to follow recipes while preparing breakfast foods, cookies and pizza. They will also research a fruit and present that information to the class.  They will be learning basic sewing skills and will be constructing a duffel bag.

    Eighth grade students will be refining their measuring skills and ability to follow recipes while preparing several foods using the microwave.  They will also be making a few main dish meals, research a nutrition topic and presenting that information to our class.  We will be making shorts or pants as our sewing project.
