 State Measures

Student data related to state assessments is derived from the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) only.  Students are assessed in mathematics and reading in the spring of their eleventh grade year and results are returned in the summer prior to their twelfth grade year.  All students in the eleventh grade are required to participate in the PSSA assessments unless they are excused according to state guidelines.  Council Rock North has consistently had a very high percent participation in the PSSA, including all students with learning or emotional disabilities.  Council Rock High School North students consistently score at a level significantly higher than the state averages.

PSSA Scaled Scores

Council Rock is proud of its consistently strong performance on the PSSA tests. Our students routinely score well above the state averages and comparably to distinguished districts with which we compare ourselves. The charts below indicate scaled scores of performance on the mathematics, reading, and writing portions of the PSSA. The school scaled score is the average of the student scaled scores, rounded to the nearest 10. Group Scaled Scores reported generally range from 1000 to 1600.  Individual student scores may range from 100 to 2200 and above.
