What is the Property Tax and Rental Rebate Program?
The Council Rock Property Tax and Rental Rebate Program is based upon the existing Pennsylvania Property Tax and Rental Rebate program which has been in effect since 1971 and is funded by state lottery and slot machine proceeds.

Where do I get the Council Rock Rebate Form?
Those who qualify for the Council Rock Tax and Rental Rebate Program can apply using the form available at this link or you can obtain a copy from Council Rock School District offices at the Chancellor Center, 30 N. Chancellor Street, Newtown, PA.
To qualify for this discount, applicants must have a household income of no more than $45,000 annually, and be:

65 years of age or older; or
-
a widow and/or widower aged 50 years of age or older; or
-
permanently disabled and 18 years of age or older
The Council Rock School District is granting a 100 percent rebate based on certain eligibility requirements and income levels as follows:
- 100 percent (maximum $1,500) annual rebate for Council Rock homeowners with a yearly household income
between $0 to $8,000; - 100 percent (maximum $1,155) annual rebate for Council Rock homeowners with a yearly household income between $8,001 to $15,000;
- 100 percent (maximum $460) annual rebate for Council Rock homeowners with a yearly household income between $15,001 to $18,000; and
- 100 percent (maximum $380) annual rebate for Council Rock homeowners with a yearly household income between $18,001 to $45,000;
- 100 percent (maximum $1,000) annual rebate for Council Rock renters with a yearly household income between $0 to $8,000;
- 100 percent (maximum $770) annual rebate for Council Rock renters with a yearly household income between $8,001 to $15,000;
- 100 percent (maximum $460) annual rebate for Council Rock renters with a yearly household income between $15,001 to $18,000; and
- 100 percent (maximum $3380) annual rebate for Council Rock renters with a yearly household income between $18,001 to $45,000.
