Canvas

Canvas is the Learning Management System used in Council Rock, grades 7-12, for managing online and blended learning.  Features include course management, communication, grading and assessment, collaboration, analytics, mobile access, and security. Canvas LMS is designed to streamline the teaching and learning process, making it easier for educators to manage their courses and for students to access learning materials and track their progress.

When accessing Canvas, please make sure you use the Council Rock Canvas instance: https://councilrock.instructure.com

LOG IN INSTRUCTIONS

Students

Use your CR student ID number and NOT your full CR email address as the username (e.g. 481516 and NOT 481516@student.crsd.org). Use your current CR password. Need a new password? Ask your teacher to reset your password.

Staff

Use your CR network credentials as your username and password. Do NOT use your full CR email address (jlocke or ben.linus, NOT jlocke@crsd.org or ben.linus@crsd.org). Need a new password? Put in a SherpaDesk ticket.

Parents / Observers

FIRST TIME USERS

  1. Click the "Forgot Password?" link.

  2. Type in your HAC Login ID.

  3. Click "Request Password."

  4. Check your email inbox and junk/spam folder for login instructions.

RETURNING USERS

  1. Type in your HAC Login ID.

  2. Type in your Canvas password.

  3. If you cannot remember your password, follow the instructions for First Time Users.

What can Parents / Guardians do with Canvas?

Parents and guardians are given a Canvas OBSERVER account, which is automatically linked to their secondary student's account.  For more help with your Canvas parent account, please refer to our Council Rock Canvas Parent Help Doc.
