Google Classroom
Google Classroom is the Learning Management System used in Council Rock, grades K-6, for managing online and blended learning.
In order to log into Google Classroom, you must sign in to Google with your child's email address (studentIDnumber@student.crsd.org) and password (provided by your child's teacher).
Here is a video with the directions:
Logging into Google Classroom from Home
Please note that there are no codes needed to access Google Classroom from home. Additionally, parents cannot use a code to join the Google Classroom, as the codes are for students only.
If your child’s teacher turns on "guardian summaries," guardians will receive an email to their HAC email address. Upon clicking "Accept," the parent will have a choice to choose a frequency of email updates (the choices are daily, weekly, or never) regarding the child’s Google Classroom. The teacher is not notified of the parent's email frequency choice.
Parents being a guardian does not give them access to "enter" the Google Classroom. The guardian email summaries allow parents to receive an email update that lists which assignments are posted, missing, late, or upcoming. The guardians can see the title of the assignments, but they will not be able to click on any assignments, attachments, and/or complete the assignment on behalf of the child.
In order for parents to be able to login and see the Google Classroom, they have to log in as their child(ren). To do this, the parents should log out of all other Google accounts on the device and then log into Google Classroom on that same device.
