Substitute Employment Information

The Council Rock School District hires per diem substitute employees on a continual basis. Per Diem Substitution is day to day work in our district for the absences of our staff or to fill openings in our schools that occur for training and/or testing.

Substitute Teachers
  • We are pleased to announce the Council Rock School District has partnered with ESS for all professional substitute services.  Those interested in working as a substitute teacher in our district, should visit this website.  

Support Staff Substitutes:

  • The Council Rock School District will continue to employ directly support staff substitute employees.  If you are interested in working as a support substitute, please follow the link below to apply
  • Our District is currently in need of substitutes for all of the following positions: Recess Aide, Cafeteria Aide, Teacher Assistant, Staff Nurse, and Security

Pay Rates:

Per Diem Substitute Teacher: Daily Rate $170 per day 

Building Substitute Teacher Rate: $180 per day

An assignment of ten consecutive days or longer: $190 per day

Support Staff Substitute Rates

Effective 2/22/2019:

T. A. - $13.00 per hour

Office Aides - $11.00 per hour

Recess/Café - $11.00 per hour

Security Guard - $18.00 per hour; Nurses - $25 per hour
