Dear Newtown Middle School Parents/Guardians:
It is an honor to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal of Newtown Middle School. I hope you enjoyed a restful summer and had an opportunity to visit our beautiful new school during one of our recent open house sessions. It was my pleasure to meet many of my fellow NMS Indians at the events.
Since officially joining CR in July, I have been working closely with Mr. Long and have interacted with many of my new NMS colleagues. One of the most impressive attributes I have found in our school community is the student-centered culture that exists here. I am so honored to join a team that values learning and growth so highly.
Outside of work, I am the proud father of three beautiful children. My oldest, Molly Jo, will be entering 4th grade. My younger two, Zoey Potter and Caleb Stark aren’t yet school age. I am supported at home by my wonderful wife, Lauren, without whom, I would not be in the position I am in today. I have a business degree from Temple University that I put into practice for a short period of time, a Master’s Degree in education also from Temple University, and a Principal Certification from California University of Pennsylvania.
The 2018-2019 school year will mark my twelfth year in education. I arrive to Council Rock as a seasoned teacher and Assistant Principal from a neighboring district. I have held positions at all three levels of education over the past eleven years. I’ve taught at the elementary level, worked as a middle school Math Interventionist and Athletic Director, and served as an Assistant Principal at the high school level.
I am certain that I am as excited as our 7th and 8th graders for this coming school year. I cannot wait to welcome NMS students back to school next week and to get to know each personally. Please know that my door is always open. I heartily welcome your input as an NMS parent/guardian and greatly look forward to celebrating all of our wonderful successes with you throughout the upcoming year.
