Welcome to the Title I Program

    At Richboro Elementary School!

Title I is a government funded program that provides supplemental reading assistance to children in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade.  Children remain in Title I for the entire school year and are invited to attend a free academic camp in the summer.

At Richboro, children are recommended for Title I by their classroom teacher and Donna Kennedy, Richboro’s Literacy Specialist.

The Richboro Title I Program is currently serving 17 students by one and a half staff members.  Each student meets with their assigned Title I staff member for three 30 minute sessions per week.  Some of the sessions are individual and some are group sessions.  These lessons teach students to use strategies they need to become fluent and independent readers.
