Welcome back to Sol Feinstone Elementary School!

This year at Sol Feinstone Elementary School, I will be the Math Specialist. I look forward to working with your children to increase their love, appreciation, and passion for their study of mathematics.  Students will be pursuing their understanding of problem solving and developing their skills by collaborating and persevering while solving mathematical problems at all grade levels. In addition, there will be special topics which we will study together to increase their depth of understanding. If your child qualifies for Math Club, they will be given extra practice and support in this area.  As always, the First in Math program is available for all students to enhance, reinforce, and extend their study of mathematics in all topics and standards taught in the regular classroom.  We will be including some extra incentives for students to use this valuable tool throughout the school year!

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself.  I have been working in Council Rock School District since 1998.  I started as a high school learning support teacher.  I then moved to Goodnoe Elementary School for the last 23 years, where I taught fourth and fifth grade and learning support classes.  In addition, I was the Interim Principal at Wrightstown Elementary School in 2016 for five months.  Last year, I began teaching my favorite subject, mathematics, at Goodnoe full-time as the Math Specialist.  I am very excited to continue this work here at Sol Feinstone. I am certified in Elementary, Early Childhood, Special Education, and Educational Leadership.  I have studied at University of Pennsylvania, LaSalle University, Temple University, Gratz College, and Holy Family University.

When I am not at school, I am happy to spend time with my husband, Ken and our three daughters and their families.  My oldest, Tara, attended Sol Feinstone until fifth grade, when she was moved to Newtown Elementary School.  She is now living in Brooklyn with her husband and two children.  She is an Advertising Group Creative Director. My second daughter, Tracy, attended Sol Feinstone until second grade and now lives with her husband and two children in Newtown. She is a Physical Therapist in Lawrenceville, NJ.  My youngest, Jessica, lives in Furlong with her husband and two children.  She is a Physical Therapist at Doylestown Hospital. My husband and I enjoy traveling. Most recently, we sailed in the Caribbean this past summer.  I look forward to meeting all the students here at Sol Feinstone and getting the First in Math Challenge activities underway!
