Welcome to Newtown Elementary Library School Distance Learning
Each week new lessons will be posted for students K-6 to use during their library class at home. We hope you will enjoy learning and reading while you are at home with family.
These weekly lessons are being sent home so you and your family can work on them at your own pace, on your own time at home along with choosing many, many different types of options and without pressure. If you have questions or would like to share your work with me my e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org . Know that these Library lessons do not need to be completed on your Library day. Make this a wonderful time to find things that interest you, to learn new things everyday and to enjoy READING all those wonderful BOOKS.
"If you don't like to read, you haven't found the right book."
SUMMER 2020 *************************
I hope you have enjoyed all the wonderful lessons and options that were shared with you during the distant learning experience. From learning how to find a balance in our busy digital world to creating poetry or learning about famous children's authors and illustrators. Maybe you liked going to visit a museum, zoo, or one of our National Parks virtually. There was something for everyone.
During these summer months take advantage of all the exciting and great things around you. There is, At Home Summer 2020 Camp Invention, Virtual summer programs at the Northampton Library and the Philadelphia Constitutional Center along with lots and lots of reading lists and web sites to learn from and enjoy.
DON'T FORGET TO GET A LIBRARY CARD. IT'S FREE! GO TO BUCKSLIB.ORG TO GET YOUR OWN.
Keep learning new things everyday. Have fun, get exercise, be creative, listen to music, take care of the Earth, READ, and spread peace along with kindness wherever you go.
Have a happy and safe summer.
