NEWTOWN MIDDLE SCHOOL CARES!

Hello! My name is Laurie Zila and I am the Newtown Middle School CARES (Children at Risk in the Educational System) Coordinator. I am a Certified School Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor with over twenty years of experience supporting youth and their families, both in educational and community settings.

In Pennsylvania, every middle and high school has a Student Assistance Program (SAP) Team comprised of trained school and community agency staff, who assist students and their families in accessing school and community services. CARES is Council Rock's SAP. Our NMS CARES Team is here to help and ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
