    Family & Consumer Science Curriculum:
    Mrs. Kratz is the Family and Consumer Science teacher at Newtown Middle School and teaches grades 7 and 8 throughout the year. She teaches both in the cooking and sewing rooms at Newtown Middle School.
    During the cooking sessions she teaches 7th graders the following curriculum: kitchen safety, kitchen sanitation, kitchen tools, measuring units, measuring equivalents, reading a recipe, manners, nutrition (MyPlate), making smoothies, pizza waffles, and microwave cinnamon bun mugs. 
    During the 8th grade curriculum she teaches the following curriculum: Kitchen safety, kitchen sanitation, manners, nutrition (MyPlate), making coffee can homemade ice cream, paninis, and homemade pizza.

    Mrs. Kratz teaches the following curriculum in the sewing room for 7th grade: child development and sewing (Draw-String Bag). She teaches the following curriculum in the sewing room for 8th grade: laundry and sewing (Pajama Pants).
    This is Mrs. Kratz's fifth year teaching in Council Rock, but has had previous long term substitute experience in Family and Consumer Science at Perkiomen Valley School District in Collegeville, PA Southern Lehigh School District in Center Valley, PA, and East Stroudsburg School District in East Stroudsburg, PA. Mrs. Kratz is also a tutor and enjoys her time with all of her 7th and 8th grade students.
