    Dear Fourth Grade Families-

Let me begin by saying I am SO excited to be teaching 4th grade this year!  I have been teaching in Council Rock for 15 years and I am looking forward to another amazing school year!   Over the past 15 years I have taught Special Education across all grade levels, both at Rolling Hills Elementary and Newtown Elementary.

I graduated from Lebanon Valley College in 2003 with certifications in both elementary and special education.  I earned my Master's degree from Temple University in 2007.  My husband is also a teacher and we have three children.  Peyton is 12 and will be in middle school this school year!  Sophia is 9 and will be in fourth grade (just like you!) and James is five and will be heading to kindergarten!

In my free time I LOVE to read and spending time with my family and friends.  I also enjoy vacationing at the beach, Ocean City, NJ and North Carolina are my favorites!

I hope you had a wonderful summer and am looking forward to an amazing fourth grade year!  I promise we will learn lots, grow as a caring classroom community and have a ton of fun along the way!  I can't wait to see you at Meet and Greet or on the first day of school.  Get ready for a great year!

    Love,

    Mrs. Oberdick

Dear 4th Grade Students and Families,

Hello! I hope you are enjoying the summer and spending time with your friends and families. Let me take this opportunity to express my enthusiasm for the upcoming school year. Fourth grade is going to be a wonderful experience! I have been lucky enough to teach in Newtown Elementary for seventeen years. Previously, I have taught 4th, 1st, 5th and 6th grade and am looking forward to returning to 4th grade. My certifications include both elementary and special education which I received from La Salle University. I completed my Master’s Degree as a Reading Specialist from Holy Family College.

On a personal note, my family and I had the opportunity to travel to California to visit my brother and his family this summer. My husband is also part of the Council Rock family and he teaches English at Council Rock South. We have twin daughters, Leah and Mariah, who recently turned thirteen and are entering 8th grade this school year. They certainly keep us busy! I know I will tell stories about them throughout the school year.

I am so excited to have Mrs. Oberdick as my teaching partner this school year! I look forward to getting to know you and your family. Working together as a team is key to every child’s success. We hope to see you in August at our Open House. Enjoy the rest of the summer!

    Sincerely, Mrs. Lingman
