Meet the Counselor!
Hi! I am Ms. Siegman (pronounced like Sigmund in Sigmund Freud).
This is my third year as Churchville's counselor and fifth year working as a School Counselor! I am very passionate about supporting students' social and emotional wellbeing. Before working at Churchville, I was a School Counselor for two years in the School District of Philadelphia and worked as a Behavior Specialist Consultant and Mobile Therapist for Foundations Behavior Health here in Bucks County. I earned my undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology at Kutztown University, (Go Bears!). I earned a double masters in Professional Counseling at the University of Pennsylvania. I am a Bucks County native and am thrilled that I can continue to support my community with their mental wellness!
School Counseling is such an integral part of a child's educational career. Students learn best when their physical, mental, and emotional needs are being met. I strive to support the needs of my students in creative and effective ways so that they can reach their fullest potential as a Council Rock student. School Counseling, simply defined, aligns with our district's motto: Students First. Always. The School Counselor acts as an advocate for the individual student, and works closely with all stakeholders to make sure their specific needs are being met. I fully commit to understanding the needs of the individual student and will work on their behalf to make sure they are thriving as a Churchville Charger.
In my free time, I love to read, draw, cheer on the Philadelphia Eagles and enjoy watching WWE pay-per-views with my friends and family. I enjoy spending time in nature and feel most refreshed after a long hike.
I am so excited to get to spend another year with the families and staff at Churcvhille and am looking forward to another fantastic school year!
