    ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE 2020 SEASON:
We are eagerly anticipating the 2020 cross country season. Here's the latest news...

The start of pre-season, optional practice started Tuesday, July 7th (7:00-9:00am Monday thru Thursday). Although Governor Wolf advanced Bucks County to the green phase, there is much to consider regarding the health and safety of our athletes. CR South's Athletic Department has established a Covid Health and Safety Plan for resumption of fall sports. If you are new to the team, please contact the coaching staff before attending practice. You will need to review the waiver and Covid Education material posted on the school website (this information can also be found on the athletic directory page under Covid Education). If a student wishes to join the team, the waiver will need to be signed by the runner and their parent. Updates throughout the season will be communicated on this website as well as via parent emails and team GroupMe posts.

The tentative start for mandatory cross country practice is Monday, August 17th and will be held from 7:00-9:00am Monday thru Friday.

The CR South Athletic Department states, "all fall 2020 paperwork and physicals must be completed on/and uploaded to the ATS Portal by 11:59pm on August 1st." Please contact athletic trainer, Scott Lisher (slisher@crsd.org), if you did not receive information (May 30th email) detailing the process. In order for an athlete to participate in a fall sport, all forms must be submitted/uploaded to the ATS portal 2 weeks prior to the official start of the season. PIAA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association) mandates that June 1, 2020 is the earliest date an athlete can have a physical for the 2020-2021 school year. PIAA is still requiring that current physicals be submitted (physicals from last year will not be accepted). Based on this, make sure the physician's exam is completed sometime between June 1st and July 31, 2020.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the mandatory Concussion Education and Impact Testing will be completed online at home. Scott Lisher emailed instructions for completing the educational portion to athletes and their primary parent on July 7th. The Concussion Education and follow up multiple choice test must be completed on or before August 7th. Since cross country is a non-contact sport, the Impact Test is not required.

If you are interested in distance running, please contact the coaching staff so we can tell you more about our program.
