Here's the latest news...The start of pre-season, optional practice is Monday, July 10th (7:30-10am Mon & Wed, 7:30-9:30 Tues & Thurs - rough end times).- Practice locations vary throughout the summer based on workout plans and weather conditions.
- Athletes will be advised of practice locations by the coaching staff and/or team captains prior to each practice.
***Updates throughout the season will be communicated to athletes and parents on this website as well as TeamSnap. If you are not on the TeamSnap, please reach out to Coach Chak to be put on!!Here are some other important dates:1) Sunday, July 30th: required sports forms dueThe CR South Athletic Department states, "All fall 2023 paperwork and physicals must be completed on/and uploaded to the ATS Portal by 11:59pm on July 30th." Please contact athletic director, Tim Dailey (timothy.dailey@crsd.org), if you did not receive information detailing the process. In order for an athlete to participate in a fall sport, all forms must be submitted/uploaded to the ATS portal 2 weeks prior to the official start of the season. PIAA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association) mandates that June 1, 2023 is the earliest date an athlete can have a physical for the 2023-2024 school year. (physicals from last year will not be accepted). Based on this, make sure the physician's exam is completed sometime between June 1st and July 30th, 2023.2) Mandatory Concussion Education and Impact Testing: module to be completed online and uploaded in the ATS portal - material has been emailed by Scott Lisher to athletes and their primary contact parent. Since cross country is a non-contact sport, only the Concussion Education video and follow-up test is required (the Impact Test is not mandatory).3) Monday, August 14th: official start of mandatory cross country practice (7:30-10am Mon thru Fri)4) Monday, August 28th: start of practice after school 2:40-4:45 (Mon/Wed/Fri) and 3:00-5:00 (Tues/Thur-clinic days)If you are interested in distance running, please contact the coaching staff prior to attending practice so we can tell you more about our program. All are welcome to join.
