Here's the latest news...Our pre-season cross country team meeting will be held on Monday, May 20th at 4:00 in the faculty dining room. Prior to the team meeting, cross country runners are to attend the mandatory Concussion Education and ImPACT Testing in South's student cafeteria at 3:00. If you are unable to attend the Concussion Education Program, please contact Scott Lisher before May 20th to be rescheduled: firstname.lastname@example.org. All cross country runners must take the program in order to compete this fall. Note: Incoming freshmen (from Holland Middle School) are not required to attend the May 20th session. A separate date will be announced for the Concussion Education Program (TBA by Scott Lisher).Pre-season, optional cross country practice for the 2019 season starts Tuesday, July 9th at 7:30am. We will meet on CR South's outdoor track during the first week's practice. Pre-season practice will be from 7:30-9:30am Monday thru Thursday. Please let the Coach Thornton or Coach Gross know in advance if you plan to join us. All are welcome!Official, mandatory cross country practice starts Monday, August 12th and will be held from 7:30-9:30am Monday thru Friday. The athletic department requires, "all fall 2019 paperwork and physicals be completed on/and uploaded to the ATS Portal by 11:59pm on July 29th." Please contact Scott Lisher if you did not receive information from CR South (in a recent email) detailing the process. In order for an athlete to participate in a fall sport, all forms must be submitted/uploaded to the ATS portal by July 29th (2 weeks prior to the official start of the season). PIAA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association) mandates that June 1, 2019 is the earliest date an athlete can have a physical for the 2019-2020 school year. Based on this, make sure the physician's exam is completed sometime between June 1st and July 29th.Finally, the fun stuff...the date for the 2019 cross country camp at Bear Creek Mountain Resort is Monday, July 29th thru Wednesday, July 31st.
