Since its founding in 1953, the SHH has grown to over 2,500 national and international chapters. The mission of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica is to recognize high school achievement in Spanish and Portuguese and to promote interest in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian studies.

    Nuestro Capítulo
The Council Rock High School South chapter of the SHH was established in 2002 with the opening of the school. The chapter is named for Benito Pérez Galdós, a nineteenth-century Spanish novelist and playwright. He is considered to be second only to Cervantes in stature and prestige in the canon of Spanish literature. Pérez Galdós was inducted into the Real Academia Española in 1897. Our chapter meets monthly and regularly engages in service to our community and our school.
