    On Thursday, May 19, 2022, the Council Rock Board of School Directors (the Board) announced its intention to formally name Dr. Andrew J. Sanko as the district's next Superintendent.  In celebration, the Board invites all community members to attend a Community Forum with Dr. Sanko on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Council Rock High School North located at 62 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

  • COUNCIL ROCK SCHOOL DISTRICT TO NAME NEW SUPERINTENDENT

    The Council Rock Board of School Directors is pleased to announce its intentions to formally name Dr. Andrew J. Sanko as the district’s next Superintendent of Schools at a meeting of the board to be announced in the coming days, subject to the execution of a mutually agreed upon contract.

  • DURHAM SCHOOL SERVICES FORGES SEVEN-YEAR CLEAN FUEL PARTNERSHIP WITH COUNCIL ROCK SCHOOL DISTRICT IN PENNSYLVANIA

    Recently, the District has engaged in an agreement with Durham Student Services, to act as its primary transportation provider.  This agreement takes effect on August 1, 2022 and replaces the agreement with our current vendor, First Student.

  • BEST COMMUNITIES FOR MUSIC EDUCATION

    Council Rock School District has received the 2022 Best Communities for Music Education Award presented by The NAMM Foundation. We are one of 738 school districts across the nation that received this award. Council Rock has earned this award for the past 11 years. The award program recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education.

  • UPDATED COUNCIL ROCK DEMOGRAPHIC STUDY

    At the Board of School Directors meeting on January 6, 2022, the Board approved a three-year agreement with Cropper GIS, LLC for enrollment forecasting services. Upon approval, Cropper GIS, LLC conducted an enrollment study. At the Education Committee Meeting on March 24, 2022, Cropper presented their findings to the Board. The Board and the Administration will use the information from this study to inform decisions about the utilization of existing spaces and future capital projects.

  • COUNCIL ROCK EVENING SUMMER MUSIC PROGRAM

    It’s time to think about the CR Summer Evening Summer program! All ensembles are directed by Council Rock Music faculty and will practice at Holland Middle School. The early registration deadline is May 20.

  • CRSD WINS BIG AT STEM COMPETITION

    This year, fifty-three Council Rock students conducted STEM research projects. These projects were entered in two science research competitions – Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Sciences and the Bucks County Science Research Competition.

  • FREE COVID 19 TESTING - ADDITIONAL LOCATIONS OPENING 11-4-21

    The Bucks County Health Department is providing free COVID-19 testing at the Bucks County Intermediate Unit in Doylestown for: Bucks County children who have exhibited symptoms of COVID-19; and Bucks County school employees and contractors. Appointments are necessary and additional locations are opening 11-4-21
