Council Rock students in grades K-5 enjoyed Move-Up Day on Wednesday, June 12. An annual tradition, Move-Up Day allows elementary students the ability to preview their upcoming grade level. Boys and girls get to meet team teachers for their rising grade and learn all about their next year's schedule, classes, activities, and major projects. The 2019 Move-Up Day was extra special, as it served a dual purpose. Building upon the transition activity that occurred in March, the district transported approximately 700 students to the school they will attend next year per redistricting. Once in their new building, students connected with their soon-to-be principal, teachers, and classmates through get-to-know-you activities, icebreakers, and specially written welcome letters that made everyone very excited about moving up!
