CALENDAR SUBJECT TO CHANGE: The general rule of thumb for the determination of the opening school day for students at the beginning of the school year is based on which day in September is Labor Day. If Labor Day falls on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th of September, school will open the day after Labor Day. If Labor Day falls on the 5th, 6th, or 7th day of September, the first day of school will be designated in the week before Labor Day. For example, September 3, 2019 is the estimated first day of school for the 2019-2020 school year.
