Use this information sheet to help guide you through Council Rock procedure when school closures or delayed openings are possible.

IMPORTANT TIPS

  • Set your device to receive notifications and alerts from CRSD.
  • Be weather aware and check district websites frequently.
  • Student safety while traveling is our primary objective and CR covers a large area of roadways and multiple municipalities. Please be patient for late or delayed buses due to hazardous conditions or uncleared roads.
  • PLAN AHEAD! Discuss a plan for your child(ren) in the event of an early dismissal and no one is home when they arrive.
  • Create a “snow chain” of families and caregivers to stay informed!
  • Stay aware of changes in weather or unexpected weather events by signing up for targeted weather alerts at https://www.weather.gov/alerts.
