Council Rock School District is honored to congratulate Patrick H. and Ronald L. on being named 2026 first place awardees in America250’s America’s Field Trip contest! This national competition celebrates students whose writing and artwork showcase their unique perspectives and creativity. Both Patrick’s and Ronald's submissions earned them a one-of-a-kind trip this summer for a behind-the-scenes experience at some of our country’s iconic landmarks in honor of America’s 250th anniversary. Patrick will be traveling to New Orleans, Louisiana for a captivating adventure through history, culture, and cuisine. Ronald will be traveling through the Badlands of North Dakota exploring the presidential legacy of Theodore Roosevelt and then to the Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota.
We are proud to see them representing Richboro Elementary and Council Rock on a national stage.

PA State Representative Kristin Marcell invited all fourth and fifth grade students who live in the 178th District to submit their idea for a new Pennsylvania law as part of her "Ought to Be a Law" Contest. This annual contest invites students to put their creativity and critical thinking to work by proposing a new state law. The goal is to get students thinking about the legislative process and how laws can solve real-world problems.
Fifth grade students Ronald, Liam, Emanuel, Patrick, Anthony, and Lily each wrote essays explaining their thoughtful and creative ideas for new laws for the state of Pennsylvania. Congratulations to Ronald L, a fifth grader from Richboro Elementary School, for his winning entry that proposed a digital privacy law to protect individuals from online scammers. Ronald and his family have been invited to visit Harrisburg for an award luncheon in a few weeks.
